RFGL bags supply contract for 7 different parts from Tafe(Tractor & Farm Equipment), the second largest tractor manufacturer in the country. Tafe order is very prestigious to RFGL as it was the only tractor manufacturer in the country whom it had not been supplying to. This will also open up a huge export potential as Tafe or Massey Fergusson has one of the largest population of Tractors in the African, middleeast ,Asia & Eastern Europe markets and all these markets are a high value addition markets. This would also be a beginning of many new parts to be taken for development.

RFGL gets an extended contract from Arvin Meritor, USA for supply of Helical Gears and Axle Shafts to its manufacturing facility in Mysore as well as Brazil. The period of contract is 3 years which would be extended based on the prevalent market conditions. RFGL has been a prime supplier to Arvin Meritor over the last 3 years. The confidence level of Arvin Meritor is high on RFGL considering the huge reliability RFGL products have demonstrated over the last 3 years and the management of Arvin Meritor wished good luck to team RFGL to keep up the quality and delivery levels. An agreement was also formulated to have warehousing arrangements in Mysore for just in time deliveries.

Dana Corporation senior team visits RFGL to explore the possibility of supplies of various transmission and Axle aggregate parts. This comes shortly after Dana Corporation recently acquired 100% stake in Axles India Ltd., a prime source of Axle aggregates in India for all leading OEM’s. Dana has close to 27 plants all over the world and a breakthrough would mean an opportunity to supply to all these plants for RFGL. The visit was very positive and subhect to commercial viability Dana promised to source the parts as a first priority from RFGL.

RFGL bags a huge order for another 2 years from Vehicle Factory Jabalpur a Government of India, Ministry of Defence undertaking. RFGL has been supplying to VFJ since the last 6 years for all trucks manufactured for Indian Army applications. The entire management of RFGL is very proud of the fact that it is a small contribution RFGL makes for our jawans posted at the border and promised unmatched quality as in the past to VFJ and thanked the team of VFJ for their continued faith and support.

RFGL ties up with Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Ltd. for supplies of Alloy Steel across entire supply chain spectrum of RFGL. RINL inked this pact considering the huge requirements of RFGL over the next 2-3 year period. During this RINL would maintain stocks at its godown for in time supplies of steel and based on the volumes try to improve the quality of steel which would be amongst the lowest ppm levels for Oxygen, Nitrogen in the steel industry. The entire exercise is in line with the new steel manufacturing facility RINL is augmenting keeping in mind the manufacturing of premium alloy steels in India.

RFGL bags 60 crores order from Tata Motors Ltd. This is the first time in 25 years that Tata Motors is developing Axle Shafts outside the in-house manufacturing and current supplier. These parts would go in practically all light commercial vehicles and heavy commercial vehicles Tata Motors is manufacturing in its Pune facility. After a stringent plant audit and facilities overview, Tata Motors team was very buoyant on RFGL capabilities and promised blanket support for development of the parts as well as possibilities of further developments in newer categories.
