TRANSMISSION GEARS

The organisation is a pioneer in the manufacture of transmission gears. They are tested and verified for material durability, dimensional accuracy and precision. They are made out of EN 353 & 20MnCr5 material and the micro structure, hardness and grain-flow pattern are checked to withstand operational conditions.

Features
  • Distortion-free Forgings isothermally annealed to give uniform structure and remove stress concentration. This treatment eliminates gear distortion.
  • Stress-free Gear are hobbed to increased depth to eliminate stress concentration.
  • Class I hobs are used to ensure good finish and accurate fillet size, increases the root strength.
  • Gear tooth flanks are shaved using highly sophisticated gear shavers to remove distortion caused by heat treatment and to ensure precise gear geometrical accuracies.
  • Hard case heat treatment in a continuous gas carburising furnace gives it a uniform hard case and the strength to withstand torsional stress.
  • Crack-free gears undergo 100% magnetic crack detection checks.

Gear Accuracy
  • The manufacturing process eliminates involute form error, lead error and tooth spacing errors. Fine surface texture Sophisticated instrument checks surface finish to ensure noise-free operation;
  • Good-fit Smooth gear operation not only eliminates noise but also retains fit between gears and casing.
  • Dimensional conformance assures smooth engagement.
  • Optimum transmission The main and countershaft splines are ground to close tolerances for smoother operation, effective gear engagement and transmission efficiency.
  • Gear involute testing machine measures and records the involute profile of gear teeth.
